Hampton Green development

HAMPTON GREEN DEVELOPMENT

Martin Grant Homes and Harcourt Developments have together prepared a planning application to create a high quality residential development at Hampton Green near Wootton Fields, Northampton.

Our consultation on proposals for Hampton Green closed on Friday
10 February 2017. Thank you to all who provided feedback or attended one of our consultation events.

We have now submitted an application for Outline Planning Permission for a 525-home residential development on this site.

Which council has the application been submitted to?

While the majority of the Hampton Green site falls within the boundary of South Northamptonshire Council, the northern part falls within the boundary of Northampton Borough Council.

Our application for Outline Planning Permission for Hampton Green has therefore been submitted to both of these local planning authorities.

Where is the application available?

Northampton Borough Council has registered this application as: N/2017/1369. It is available to view online here.

South Northamptonshire Council has registered this application as: S/2017/2577/EIA. It is available to view online here.

The Site

  • Lies close to the established communities of Hardingstone and Wootton
  • Approximately three miles south of Northampton town centre.
  • Bordered to the south west by Newport Pagnell Road (B526)
  • Site split into two separate parcels either side of ‘The Green’
  • The site is approximately 24 hectares (60 acres) in total size:
    - Northern parcel – arable
    - Southern parcel – shrub and grassland

Why in this location?

In December 2013 the West Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit (JPU), comprising representatives from Daventry District, Northampton Borough, South Northamptonshire and Northamptonshire County Councils, adopted the Joint Core Strategy which allocated the Hampton Green site for growth to meet the needs of the area by building a sustainable urban extension, as identified by Policy N6 of the
adopted WNJCS.
